putting chips in the cable whose only purpose is to detect if they are genuine or not is immoral behaviour on apples part, non magnetic latching is also rubbish, considering they make the magsafe connector, if were stuck with the lightning connector for the next 5 years thats a disappointment, especially since ‘currently’ its effectively just another adulterated proprietary variation on usb2 ‘Fuck Apple’ as far I’m concerned, hope the EU force them to use the same standards agreed – micro USB connector, Lightning my Arse, obsessed they are with making slimmer everything, including difficult to manufacture overpriced usb2 variants.

best documentary I’ve seen this year … see this film … seriously, Though Indonesia is the canvas, this film portrays what happens when a society conducts purges of undesired groups the government make alliances with the worst kind of people and then are forever in bed with them complicit and also the government and power can be made of such people even , this documentary highlights the real incivility and poverty of being a human being still in 95% of the world, sadly it seems there are so few moral decent people in the world, the western world very much included in that statement, seriously how are human beings such bankrupt immoral things, but then the memory of year zero and pol pot balance this out in the sense, that atrocity and sadism are part of the human realm whichever side of the political fence, there is no god or retribution for immoral behaviour, except the judgement of our own conscience, and where the scale and scope of that consciousness is limited and weak, terrible things happen, hell is here on earth and its visible in those who commit evil and those who suffer its consequences are the canvas for its depiction, and every complicit silent person in between those two extremes. And how it goes on and on, even now and it seems it will in the future, bleak, but no truer film has yet been made.

Murderous teenagers wielding knives and a samurai sword ? would you … like to send your kids to the london school where this bunch of walking cunt thugs hail from ? hmm some poor natives have little choice in the matter, as they cant insulate their kids in a nicer school system, as they dont have the money. “gangs are gay” would be the best slogan, if one was allowed to disregard the homophobia of the phrase, to prevent young black male teenagers joining them, as most of these male black teens are probably homophobic in the extreme and would probably if one could disregard the extreme offense to the gay community, be the best insult to prevent them joining a gang, even if it were a grave offense to the gay community, whom I would not wish to offend, as they are far superior people, than these violent thugs.

As a paid supporter of Greenpeace, No doubt there is too much coal use and pollution from it near beijing and I agree with your belief in caps on coal, this is understood, but I disagree with your use of statistics here as marketing, as it seems a little weak when described this way, your talking the diameter of a 1200 kilometre wide circle around beijing, thats a very large area of 1,130,973 km squared ? maybe there is better and more meaningful statistic to use than this, as I think people with half a brain for mathematics wouldn’t be too shocked by that area use unless they understand the amount of coal consumed in that area ? the ratio of coal v nuclear energy production between the two countrys etc, as im sure the majority of americas coal consumption occurs in an even smaller area ?

the word “FACT:” in caps as though its being shouted, though it may be a fact, the question is what is the real relevance of the fact … surely ? some facts are positive and are some are negative, its the weight of a negative statement and fact that is important, as the severity in meaning of such a statement will bring attention to an important cause, and it is vitally important for organisations who should work at the moral end of the spectrum and fight to preserve the truth at all times, otherwise they undermine their own position and argument ?

The last thing Alan manufactured of any merit was the CPC6128 in my opinion (designed largely by Roland Perry), viglen ? christ I thought that PC brand died 20 years ago ? They mainly seem to sell very average PC’s at high margin into the public sector, ie a tax waste ? for public facing bureaucrats who are shit at IT sourcing ? and his business empire ? isn’t he mainly just a property developer now ? like most lazy people who want to be rich today and have little actual entrepreneurial skill, I suppose at least ALan did stuff in the fledgling tech industry back then and this is something to be thankful for, property re-developers they skim exorbitant mortgage payments of a tenant or the taxpayer through housing benefit and wait for house price increases its not exactly rocket science. He probably makes a great deal more off doing the apprentice ? than any of his business’s provide in real job opportunities for its contestants ?

Viglen have beaten a string of overseas suppliers to a prestigious contract worth over £6m, having been selected by the Government Procurement Service to supply a range of computer equipment to the public sector.

The awarding of the contract will see Viglen supplying over 50 central and local government customers including a number of NHS and local education authorities with over 17,000 computers and 10,000 screens over the next two years. This follows a tender process which took the form of a reverse online auction. The contract is a 24-month supply agreement with two 12-month extension periods, and has the potential to grow further to include educational establishments, charitable organisations, social enterprises and the voluntary sector.

Roughly £352 per computer, not too overpriced for the UK taxpayer, and least Viglen are UK based, but they will probably make the major money from this on installation, training and servicing.
