27kbps bt bband v 30 kbps dialup upload max, actually marginally slower than dialup
at that upload speed it would take an hour to send a 1Mb attachment !

The problem with BT is that they do not test they’re customers connection and download speeds every week, so as to be able to guarantee they are providing acceptable quality of service at all times, instead they wait for their customers to complain. ie they are not proactive about quality they only do something about it when someone complains … rubbish.
